Advanced World Systems, Inc. (AWS) emerged as Finalist in the 2 categories of the recently concluded Asia CEO Awards 2017. The awards night was conducted at the Manila Marriott Hotel on October 17, 2017 and was attended by more than 1,500 executives from different Filipino and multinational companies, as well as government officials and officers of several IT associations and Chamber of Commerce organizations in the Philippines.

AWS was among the 8 Finalists for the "Technology Company of the Year" Award. The other Finalists are Acudeen, Freelancer.com, Synchrony Global, Tech.One, Tsuneishi Technical Services (Philippines), Inc., uHop, and Wabag. Mr. Akira Konishi, President and CEO of Advanced World Systems received the trophy for the company.

AWS was also among the 8 Finalists for the "Service Excellence Company of the Year" Award. The other Finalists are Acquire, AIG Shared Services, Amaysim, Cebuana Llhuillier, Concentrix, TaskUS, and VXI. Mr. Ramil Villanueva, Director and AVP for Corporate Planning of Advanced World Systems accepted the trophy during the awarding ceremonies.

According to Mr. Richard Mills, Chairman of the Asia CEO Awards, this year has the most number of nominations for the awards. "There are more than 350 nominees this year, the highest among the previous years, but the number of Finalists were reduced because the judges are very strict in selecting the Finalists.", Mr. Mills said.

Mr. Ramil Villanueva, Director and AVP for Corporate Planning of AWS mentioned that to be a Finalist in 2 categories of this very prestigious award is very special as the other finalists are big multinational companies and leaders in their own industries. "It's an honor to be recognized and be included among the top performing companies in the country and the Asia Pacific region. ", he said.

Earlier this year, AWS was awarded as the "Best Company of the Year for IT & Software Development" for the second straight year during the annual ICT Awards Philippines.
